History
On June 23, 1998 blaxxun interactive and Cybertown launched a new online community. ColonyCity consists of online virtual communities where you can build your own virtual house and interact in virtual reality with others using avatars. ColonyCity has its own social structure, you can become a citizen, take jobs in the community and earn community money.

Eventually taking on the name Cybertown, there were MANY unique places in the city such as the City Hall, the Newspaper, the Library and the Theater, City Cafe and at later stage a Shopping Mall. Initially, ColonyCity had three different Colonies subdivided in sub-areas. The first featured Virtual Worlds including the Point World neighborhood, which looked absolutely nothing like our classic Pointworld. Like the thousands of other neighborhoods in Cybertown, Pointworld was made up of blocks, and each of those blocks were made up of around 30 houses, complete with a message board, block leader, and all the other ammenities that made the place entirely too close to a real world. Many of us became fed up with all of the squabbling and politics, so we branched off and now roam amongst the worlds of the Outer Limits, where there are no blocks, no block leaders, mayors, presidents, security chiefs, dogcatchers, firemen, or any other position which could be labeled as a job. Although some of us took this route, many of the blaxxun newbies did not choose to follow suit, which is why Cybertown today has a population that numbers in the hundreds of thousands.
